         NONPF has ten standing committees: Bylaws, Educational Resources, Educational Standards and Guidelines, Faculty Practice, Finance, Global Advancement, MembershipNominating, Programs, and Research.

Members of the standing committees, except for the Nominating Committee, are appointed by the elected committee chair, who sits as a member of the Board of Directors. Standing committees have a minimum of three (3) members.

Bylaws Committee

The Bylaws Committee is chaired by the Vice-President/ President-Elect. It is responsible for revising the Bylaws as needed, based on input from the Board of Directors and members, in accordance with the process described in the Bylaws.

Educational Resources Committee

Quannetta T. Edwards, DNSc, WHCNP, FNP, Howard University, Chair

The Educational Resources Committee develops educational products and resources as useful tools for nurse practitioner faculty.  In addition, the committee is responsible for overseeing the selection of the recipient of an annual scholarship to promote individual faculty development.

Educational Standards and Guidelines Committee

Michelle Beauchesne, DNSc, RN, CPNP, Northeastern University, Chair

The Education Committee advises the Organization on matters relating to educational issues. In addition, the committee is responsible for selecting the recipient of the Organization's annual education award.

Faculty Practice Committee

Kathryn A. Blair, PhD, APRN-BC, FNP, University of Northern Colorado, Chair

The Faculty Practice Committee advises the Organization on all matters pertaining to Faculty Practice.

Finance Committee

Rosanne Pruitt, PhD, APRN, BC, Clemson University, Chair

The Finance Committee is chaired by the Treasurer. It advises the Treasurer on all matters related to finance, including budget planning, investment, and general fiscal oversight.

Global Advancement Committee

Gayla Jewell, PhD, RNC, NP, Grand Valley State University, Chair

The Global Advancement Committee is responsible for establishing and sustaining NONPF's participation in networks with international organizations and activities dedicated to promoting the role of the NP globally.

Membership Committee

Jamesetta Newland, PhD, APRN, BC, FNP Pace University, Chair

The Membership Committee is responsible for maintaining a roster of members of the Organization and recommending and enacting strategies to recruit new members or new member services. In addition, this committee provides leadership in the marketing of products developed by the Organization.

Nominating Committee

Alice Running, PhD, RN, FNP, University of Nevada, Reno, Chair

The Nominating Committee is composed of four members elected by the membership for a term of two years. Two members are elected each year. The Nominating Committee is responsible for drafting a slate for annual elections, to include a minimum of two candidates for each office. Members of the Nominating Committee cannot self-nominate for a Board of Directors position.

Programs Committee

Ruth Kleinpell, PhD, RN-CS, FAAN, ACNP, FAANP  Rush University, Chair

The Programs Committee is responsible for planning the Annual Conference and any other educational programs sponsored by the Organization. The Chair of this committee will serve as the Annual Conference Chair.

Research Committee

Debra J. Brown, PhD, RN, CFNP, CANP, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chair

The Research Committee advises the organization on all matters related to organizationally-sponsored research activities and identifies priority areas for future investigation. In addition, the committee annually selects recipients for the organization's two research awards.
