TELEWEB ON SCHOLARLY PROJECTS FOR
PRACTICE DOCTORATE
March
2007
You
can now order the archived version
of the teleweb seminar, entitled "NPs Making Changes that Matter: Scholarly Projects in
Practice Doctorate Programs." This seminar provided NP
faculty with direction for developing the scholarly project for NP
students in a practice doctorate program. A subgroup of the NONPF
Practice Doctorate Committee, under the leadership of Dr. M. Katherine
Crabtree, identified the recommended criteria for a scholarly project.
The seminar also introduced these criteria as well as provide
information on the range of scholarly project types,
as well as, two in-depth exemplars.
The
Clinical Doctorate in Nursing: Future or Fringe?
Friday, November 22,
2002
Please Note: An archived version of this Teleweb Conference WILL NOT
be available.
This Teleweb presentation addressed the
question: Is the clinical doctorate the future of nursing or a fringe
movement? Lucy Marion and Katherine Crabtree provided an overview of the
clinical doctorate movement, including an historical account, current
events among leading organizations, and the NONPF Board vision of how to
advance new educational paradigms. Diane Viens facilitated discussions
among the presenters, consultants, and guests. To gain NP/APN faculty
and clinician input about controversial and emerging issues, the
presenters conducted on-line polling of the audience with immediate
feedback throughout the session. The registrants received the polling
questions prior to the Teleweb session, and were asked to respond to
selected questions online and to answer the full questionnaire by fax.
We have compiled the results of the online polling and the full
questionnaires.
